I made a few simple animations with gradient changes in UF. It was quite easy but very long. I rendered each change when I slid the gradient. I put them in GIMP to get an .avi file. My UF doesn't make animations so I have to do them by hand. Sometimes the preview jumps when I accidentally make a pan with the mouse. That makes a messy file.
yeah submitting issues everywhere. you probably should try chaotica if you wanna fidde with flame stuff ofc i am biased, but its pretty simple and intuitive (basically, you set desired length and frame rate, and then just move edit stuff along the timeline, and the program interpolates it for you).
I have Chaotica but I have a problem using Apo on a Mac because it's very frustrating and slow. Also I have stupidly deleted all my old flame collection. In any case I can't bother with plugin problems and I don't use Apo now. I can't face trying to learn something that works so slowly for me.
A little while ago you asked us what we thought a fractal was. Well, I was one of the people who used to enjoy using scripts a few years ago because I can't easily understand Apo. It's got even more complicated over the years, and now it doesn't run scripts.
So I just use UF. As you know there are so many possibilities in UF. I'm 73 already so there's enough for me!
Thanks for the chat. I enjoy seeing what other people do with Apophysis.
